So why wouldn't you keep the water warm for most of the day using a small gas flame, then crank the gas turbine up to eleven to both make up for the renewable loss and heat the water to the point where you have the combined cycle system running before the renewable drops completely off the grid?

Stand at a freeway gas station for 40 minutes. Count how many cars come through. That's how many charging stations you need. Now take that, and the one across the street. That's how much energy the power line has to deliver.

I worked at a contractor for GE. Their HR department requires you to answer a questionnare. What they were looking for is to see if I was a member of any "underprivileged category", which would give them tax benefits for letting me work there.
If you want this stuff to stop, then have your Congressman vote against all of the "incentive" programs that they spew out. They like these programs, because they narrative goes that they're helping the poor. But, this is the actual result.

Why would you need to have methane? Hydrogen will do just fine for propulsion. And it can be create from in situ water, which is being found practically everywhere.

Having worked in the regulated industry, I can say for a fact that you are completely clueless. You'd be right if "no involvement" meant "completely controls", but it doesn't. If you can't get a drug/treatment/device through the regulation hurdles, you can't sell it. If you can't sell it, the competitor that paid off the inspector can charge what they want. The FDA is the gatekeeper.
And if I'm foolish enough to buy it from you after being warned that your statement haven't been reviewed by the FDA, the Dr. Gottlier needs to stay out of my damned business.
