  1. My wife has used it for a while... on Usability Testing Hardy Heron With a Girlfriend · · Score: 1

We've been running Ubuntu for the past 7 months on my laptop. Since our daughter was born I've had the thinkpad in the living room hooked to the wireless router and my wife has had few complaints except when an update broke the wi-fi. Her only real complaint was that Firefox was different than IE but she adjusted pretty quick.

  2. And what's the problem? on Facebook Exposes Advertisers To Hate Speech · · Score: 2, Interesting

What's the problem with the group on Face Book? Islam at its most "moderate" is a religion that promotes the subjugation and marginalization of women, tolerates lies and deceit to infidels and as a whole will not take a stand against the radical elements of it's faith.

There are 1.2 billion Muslims world wide. If only 10% condone violence and terrorism that makes 120 million people out there that need to be dealt with. If another 20% turn a blind eye or promote the "less radical" aspects of Sharia law that is even more people that wish to promote a 12th century view of the world.

    Not acceptable!

  3. Re:Huh? on Bush Commutes Libby's Sentence · · Score: 0

Libby did NOT leak. He had NOTHING to do with this s called "outing". Richard Armitage was the source of the leak and because Plame besides, there was NO CRIME!!

This whole story was a lot of nothing made up by Bush haters. Yes, Libby deserves some punishment for lying or least not being entirely truthful. He didn't cover for anybody, he didn't uncover a secret agent. He is guilty of nothing, Rove is guilty of nothing, Chenny is guilty of nothing and even Bob Novaks known source, Richard Armitage, is NOT GUILTY.

Libby deserves the punishment he will be getting under this action by the President. It is appropriate and should serve as an example to all public officials.

In the famous words of Hillary Clinton, "I don't recall" seems like a phrase Libby should have learned years ago.

  4. They don't like anybody... on Nuclear Training Software Downloaded To Iran · · Score: 1

Iran supports the destruction of the West. The Mullahs of Iran have been at war with the west since they took over power in Iran. America just happens to be the largest target right now. If America were to fail and succumb to these people Europe will be next. Hell, Europeans are already being destroyed from the inside out by a so called Islamic mainstream. Paris didn't burn last year because of disenfranchised youths.

Europeans can continue to act smug but this isn't a war where they will be able to rely on America riding to their rescue again.

  5. The Jewwws! on Nuclear Training Software Downloaded To Iran · · Score: 1

So basically it would be OK for Iran to have nukes because of the dirty Jews? I'm sure these are the same Jews that you think are behind 9/11, the World Bank and every other Western "conspiracy".

  6. The new "Evil Empire" on Gary Kasparov Arrested Over Political Fight · · Score: 1

Russia has been sliding back into its Soviet era doctrine more and more in the past 8 years. While I don't blame the current administration I feel that Putin and his "retro-commie" allies have taken advantage of Americas leadership in the war on terror to begin building themselves up as a world superpower again. Aligning with nations such as Iran, which are at odds with the West, are giving Russia some bargaining chips on the world stage. Unfortunately the Putin regime must use strong armed, Stalinist tactics to achieve its goals with little media interference.

It is a frightened scenario that the West will wake up one day and find an aggressive bear on our steps again.

  7. What about AL GORE! on Lenovo Tops Eco-Friendly Ranking · · Score: 2, Interesting

Wouldn't one think that Mr. Al Gore, the warrior that is leading us all to carbon utopia in his private jets and SUV's would be able to do something about this? As a member of the board at Apple you would think he'd be leading the company towards a greener way
I suppose he'll just educate us carbon hogs and make it everybody elses problem to reduce their pollutants. As long as he talks about the problem it's ok that him and the companies he is afiliated with are some of the worst offenders.

  8. Re:The spin on 'Plentiful' Non-Embryonic Stem Cells Found · · Score: 1

Science or not there is nothing to support the effectiveness of embryonic stem cell treatment. Embryonic stems cells don't work perfectly well. Maybe it's due to limited research potential because nobody wants to fund it but embryonic stem cells have shown little more than "promise" and "hope".
