I think that it is very wrong to say it led to WW2 as WW2 had really already begun. I think it was about taking all reasonable steps to avoid the inevitable. When a paramedic arrives at an accident and the injured person is purple, he still tries to resuscitate, does he believe that he will succeed? No, but he knows that he must try. Did Chamberlain believe that he would succeed? I do not know but could he commit the British people to that level of death and destruction without having tried?

  3. For $9000, I would rather go on a good holiday near a volcano and toss the drive in while I am there... There are so many total destruction options available (real rather than volcanic) that I cannot see why you would pay $9000. Have none of you seen what an oxy/acetylene torch does to a drive? A sledge hammer does not destroy the data, just the drive but oxy/acetylene destroys everything... even the KGB would not be able to find any data on the lump of molten metal left behind and I would still have change to buy a load of new drives.

If a standard currency exchange was robbed for $12,000 we would not even read the story. This is a trivial crime and of little interest. It serves more as a warning rather than as a bank robbery story. I hope that those that are concerned learn from this but if this is the crime of the century in the Bitcoin world then they are doing really well.

TPB are not an NGO or any other body that should be trying to do anything more than any government so there is nothing to comment on.
