I promise, I was kidding about Dumb people having to mow lawns.
Trust me, in High School, the only way I got to buy new underwear was to mow lawns.
As for the unions having power, oh yeah, they do. I worked for a railroad company for a while, and unions made my job as a tech guy a nightmare. I was always having to code huge amounts extra just to make up for the stuff that they had negotiated for. And a lot of times, the stuff they had negotiated for was less than what the non-union guys got.
Ok, so, mining has been conquered...
The next step in the "Mindless Job Automation" department will be LawnMowing, right?
DANGIT!! We need to start a Union of LawnMowers right now and not let any development be done!! There are DUMB People Out THERE Who NEED to MowLawns in order to eat!!
This is actually a very interesting subject, and I wonder how the unions _are_ going to react to this news. When the robots hit the car-factories, there was Major fallout from the workers, and I wonder what's going to happen over this?
Will our production actually go down if enough mine workers get frustrated and strike until they get an agreement from management for no robots?
Ok, so a lot of Linux companies are going belly up, right? So we think that the business model of trying to make money on free software is doomed to fail...
What does this do for IBM? Haven't they been trying to position themselves as a "Linux Co". Aren't they trying to sell a lot of their boxes as "Linux Inside"?
Will they have the same problems everyone else does? (VA is linux hardware, so don't tell me that it's not related). IBM is linux software and hardware. Will they be big enough to make it work?

Have there been any studies done on the effects that an early exposure to sex has on children?
