I have experienced this problem too, since I have associated my Google with my Youtube account, to avoid it, you need to log directly with your Youtube account even with the Google invite.

Same thing here (Morocco) for nearly two weeks now, all Google sites are affected (google.com, Gmail, Blogspot, Youtube, etc.), even doubleclick.net and the domain serving adwords (don't remember the exact) are afected too, which has the effect of slowing the numerous sites using them. I have noticed that this has coincided with a new surge of conflics between Google and the chinese governement, I wonder if this a a massive DDOS attack as a retaliation by pro-governement Chinese hackers, this has already happened in the past.

On the contrary allowing more entries tend to attract a larger public, but which public ? as in WP = Community = its language (in the boroader sens of the word), this community maintain it and make it evolve. So at the end of the day the question is : does WP want to be a large source of trivia about anything and everything or rather a more "elitist" society which bring a real added value to your knowledge.

Now, the XO peaks my interest as a backpacker/bicycle camping laptop. if you can rig a solar charger for these that would be perfect for the outdoorsperson that wants to have a pc with them (blogging from the backwoods W00t!)
It's also very intersting as an ebook reader, in fact, just for that it's worth the deal. It was designed with that functionaly in mind, it's very useful in places where books are often very expensive and not easy to get.
