If you're going to say something like that grow a spine and post with your username. The poor guy is probably looking *everywhere* for advice, not just here you emotionless fuck.
I have no knowledge of this disease with the exception of what I have learned in high school, however, I am very familiar with the psychiatric profession.
If you take you sister to another psychiatric facility (for something like Schizophrenia, you definately want more than one doctor on board) she might be rediagnosed, however, the course of treatment might be different.
I know you want the best for your sister, so my suggestion is to get a second opinion. If it's the same, you are doing the best you can do. If you get a different one, you should get a third. Mental treatment is something that may have permanent effects, wanted or not. The decision should be educated and thought out.
I wish you, your sister, and your family luck and good hope.
Someone was there. They didn't have any decorations or such. I didn't even talk to the guy. Then again, Sun didn't really make an effort to have a booth either. In fact, they weren't there at all the first day.
I also left with a Real Helix shirt A PC Club shirt And the Desktop Linux Conference shirt
If you were lucky, you got one of the shirts the mozilla guy raffled out. (I saw him just *give* one to Nat Friedman, but thats ok) I was lucky to grab a nice CD 'n' sleeve of mozilla goodness.
Seagate gave out the trippiest pen I've ever seen.
DeviantArt gave out nice stickers.
Sun gave out CDs of StarOffice and the Java Desktop
Some random mousepads.
PC Club gave out a coupon for a free case/powersupply with a purchase of $200 or more
The prize goes to sub300.com. They gave out little bottles of maple syrup. there were so many after the conference they were handing out extra ones whether you wanted them or not.
I'm yet to have pancakes or french toast, so i can't comment on them. They say 100% pure, so it should be pretty good.
When I first read the article and noticed that the technique involved submersion in water, I thought to myself: "How about vacuums, or zero-gravity? How will these things effect creation processes?"...
Just google for "Emil Piscani". Not quite what I wanted, but interesting enough...
Senate Judiciary Chairman Patrick Leahy is the same goon that co-sponsered the Reducing Americans' Vunerability to Ecstasy (RAVE) Act. It recieved so much controversy because it's language specifically targeted raves that he eventually withdrew his support.
The bozo who started it all, Joseph Biden (D), renamed it to the Illicit Drug Anti Proliferation Act and hitched a free ride by attaching it to the Amber Alert Law two days before a went before the floor for a vote. Bush signed it into law last year.
Even if Leahy comes to his senses and removes his support for this PIRATE garbage, the fact that it was even introduced is a knock out blow.
Controversy? If that happens, they are going to rename it and attach it to the next version of the PATRIOT Act two days before the vote.
Make me wonder how many times this has happened...
It truely sounds as if IBM and Intel were making love in the same bed. Transmeta stated that it would ship Mobile Linux with its own systems, and the fact that Linus is employed there really makes it seem as if their first priority is Linux, although this is probably not true (a key priority at most).
Just keep in mine the relationship between MSFT and Intel. Now picture them in a little street gang that is waiting to initiate big blue into their posie. Transmeta is just becoming a victim of MSFT's "class bully" tactics. I just hope they can hang on.
Who knows? Remember that "AMD to acquire Transmeta" thingy?
