i have replaced the "electronic spark control" with a regular (read pre 80's) distributor, now its really computer free. however, due to the rarity of people with EMP guns, i think the only EMP i have to worry about would be associated with a nuclear strike, and in that case, id be dead, so a truck wouldn't do much good.
mine was originally a 305, i put a 350 in it last year, runs a lot better now, mines only got one dent (from someone kicking it)- new paint, no rust, damn good shape
Same here, my 82 Chevy doesn't have a computer on board- doesn't need one, i dont want one. Emissions -- thank God I wont have to pass emissions in a few years. Don't have to worry about a EMP attack either.
