Did you guys forget Mark Cuban owns HDNet? Of course a transition to HD is going to benefit him.

  2. The best of the four on Phoenix Headed for Martian North Pole in 2007 · · Score: 0

This was the best of the four options NASA had on their table. The other three were very interesting in their own right, but this one was the most practical.

  3. We are misusing the word "antisocial" on Gamers Aren't (Always) Geeks · · Score: 0

I think a lot of us here are misusing the word "antisocial." Antisocial generally refers to a person who performs criminal activities (usually violent), whereas an "unsocial" person shuns other people.

For one thing, the midwest and desert areas of the US have multiple mile stretches without a house, or even an electrical hookup. You might be able to tap into the overhead powerlines but I don't think the power company would be too happy with that.

  7. That thing is gonna be HUGE on The Ultimate Universal Remote Control · · Score: 1

If that ends up like it was described in the description, that thing is going to be monstrous.

  8. Funny on Do Strangelets Pass Through Earth? · · Score: 1

I always like how the media always ends a potentially unsettling article by saying "humans are unlikely to be harmed." I think if a human was hit by one of these they would have more than a scratch.

  9. stock on Holographic Storage For The Masses · · Score: 1

I would be interested in if this company plans to go public. That could be quite the stock.
