Are kids turning your kids into killers?

I'm a highschool junior, and I've been teased for who knows how long. I'm not a strong girl, I break down a lot. I have been taught to hate, and I do hate the people who choose to tease me. I could very well yell at them, scream at them, and maybe even hit them, but to what extent will it take to push me over the edge? I can't imagine wanting to kill anyone, even if they have tortured me for years. It does make me wonder what these children have gone through that makes them so unhappy. All the school shooters have made it clear that they have been made fun of and teased.

But can it be entirely blamed on the students? The peers? No, it can't. Where are the parents? How can they live with someone and not realize how unhappy their children are? And if they realize that they're unhappy, how can they sit there and do nothing about? When I'm a mother, I will not let my children go through such pain and torment. That's just added stress on a child's life, the fact that the parents don't care enough to help... It would kill me.

I'm thought of killing myself before. And it was not just my peers that made me want to die, it was very much my parents. So, it's not entirely the kids in school. It's the parents.

These days it's very dangerous for parents to not talk to their children. We, as the children, are the future, and you, as the parents, are helping to raise us, to make the world a certain way as we grow up and take over. Parents need to make an effort or the world will be chaos and violence. Parents are the outcome of the way you grow up. If they're there for you, care for you, you grow up a respectful, independent person. If your parents are negligent, you grow up a cold, uncaring person. If the parents take the time and the effort to be there for their children, we will grow up good, and the shootings will be lessened. That's the truth. Parents need to be more involved.

It's frightening to go to school these days, with all these shootings happening. It's sad that these are supposed to be the best days of our lives.

I will admit that I did make a mistake, I did mean to put collected. But for the rest of the stuff that you seem to have a problem with, they make perfect sense. I'm terribly sorry that you are unable to comprehend what I am saying.

I highly doubt that this arguement, or topic is worth suicide.

As an author, or aspiring author, I would gladly pay the publisher myself for making my books, but for distrubuting them, it is not such a difficult task.

Also, being an author, I would only hope that a library would keep my book on hand. Libraries are the biggest places to get to a wide-ranging audience. I read the books from the library before I decide to buy them. Libraries are the biggest amount of advertisement I need.

Publishers could consult with the author's before they decide anything. I, for one, would not go to a publisher that sued a library.

But Foster has one thing that Moore does not. Jodie was in the first one. In my opinion, when you are dealing with a movie as big as "Silence of the Lambs" and you are planning on making a sequel, the movie is not going to be that big of a hit if it loses an actor/actress that helped make the first one wonderful.

I would also have to disagree, I think Julianne was not very attractive. I think Foster is a lot prettier.

But then again.... I'm just a girl, what does it matter who I think is more attractive?

  5. This movie lacks a lot... on Hannibal's Return · · Score: 1
Without Jodie Foster, the movie was bound to be a disappointment to many. Her cool, collective character in "Silence of the Lambs" made the it a steadfast, exciting movie, because she would not let herself feel. The fact that they could not get her back and replaced her with Julianne Moore shows a very big lack of benevolance. Julianne's performance showed complete lamenation compared to Jodie Foster's. Julianne seemed to be a cold, large witch rather the intellegent, indifferent Jodie.

Anthony Hopkins, on the other hand, lived up to the previous movie. He contiuned to uphold the the character that strikes fear and apprehension within us all. He's a remarkable actor and he did a wonderful job.

The plot contained little structure. I found it hard to follow and to understand. The movie was long and by the time it was finished, I felt completely mentally drained because I was trying so hard to put the pieces together.

I have read that Anthony Hopkins is looking forward to doing yet another one. My advice to him, is to find another actress for Clarice, or get Jodie Foster back. Although I think his plans for dropping Moore are already in his mind. "I don't think the people that see this film need to see a psychiatrist." Julianne Moore had to see a psychiatrist after making the movie. Could this comment have been made about her?

I do not think that it should be the publisher's decisions on where and who will get books. The author wrote it, and it should be fully up to them on where the book will and who will get it. As I look forward to being an author one day, I would wish that anyone who ever wanted to read a piece of literature I wrote would get that chance. Frankly, I know that I will make a profit off of it, but libraries can use my pieces as much as they want, because so many people could read it.

Not everyone in this world is as rich as some people. Libraries are made for this. I live in a small town as it is, and I see so many people that are considered poor come in to the library, and leave with such large smiles on their faces. I see little children check out piles of millions of books, and you know what, who would want to take this privelage away from people that find it so joyous and exciting?

People have reached an all time low, and their greediness is exasperating. It's horrible to see someone attack something that has never done anything to hurt anyone. They spread the joy of reading to everyone. How can anyone take that away?
