It seems like most of you have forgotten that Slashdot, Freshmeat, and a number of other OSDN sites are already sitting behind two FreeBSD boxes. That's right kids, those are the firewall machines that protect Slashdot from a number of DoS attacks.
Due to that fact, I don't know why it'd seem too surprising that the decision was made to switch to FreeBSD since it already plays an important role in Slashdot's operation.
