    ok mr smartass...

    first, voting is compulsory for all adults in Australia 18-70yr old (15 mil approx)

    2nd, US registered voters are 1/3 of the population, and that around 1/2 of them ACTUALLY voted this past election. THATS WHY U SHOULD NOT BE LISTENED TO.

    Our Electoral commision is independent, and shockingly for accurate for its simplicity:

    1. people write numbers next to names

    2. people read all votes by hand

    3. the result is accurate, and all formal votes are counted....

    why is it neccessary for automation? theres only 3-5 times the population, so why not have 3-5 times the vote counters?

    Can anyone tell me why the US voting results is partisan?

    it only creates problems (see Florida, Nov2000) ;p

    If you place an ice cube in a glass of water, and wait for the ice to melt, does the water level go up or go down?

    (it goes down since unusually water 'H2O' expands when frozen)

    I believe that this factor must be taken into account when dealing with seas rising ... (although land bound ice going into the sea is a worrying proposition!)

    The fact that O@H's only competitor allows 5 times less data downloaded per month will prove a major threat for O@H customers. We can only hope optus does not follow this lead, announcing:

    "we now implement a generous 6 gig a month! twice the competition"!

    I guess from this description, you would be able to run DeCSS, but not "import it". So you can circumvent copyright protection, as long as you don't import, (download) it?!
