I have to agree with this, I've been running an SMP box for arround 2 years now (first with PII300's, now with PIII450's, soon to go to 700's) and Matrox is definitly your best bet for compatibility and overall X funtionality. I used a Matrox G200 with a cheap 17" monitor, no problems. I haven't used the G4XX series, but from what I hear they should perform similarly. I'm now using a GeForce 2 GTS (last summer my G200 got fried, along with my motherboard) and I had buy new monitor for it (19") because it wouldn't support 1280x1024 on my old monitor, and it still won't go up to 1600x1200 in X (will in W2K) and I get persistant flicker due to a 60Hz refresh rate (I have a small desk fan running beside the monitor, 60Hz power + 60Hz refresh rate = Flicker). If you're interested in 3D modelling, there's also some useful Mesa patches for Matrox cards, I got fairly good FPS in blender.
That large invasion fleet would be the Mongols under the leadership of Kublai Khan. They amassed a HUGE (even by modern day standards) invasion fleet and attacked Japan arround 1260 (I can't remember, sorry). I believe something arround 800 ships... the attack was initally successful, but the Mongol commander decided to bring his troops back on board to make them easier to defend. Turns out the night after he did that a typhoon came by and whiped out most of his fleet. Doh !
Perhaps, but for those of us who believe Reverse Engeniering is a form of free speach, it's a diffrent issue =] Especially annoying to then would be special interest groups conspiring w/ government to take that freedom away...
The easiest way to avoid the yuckiness of the UCITA seems to be using Free Software (Noone can claim you reverse-engeniered software you were given the source code to:)

Most of the/. constituancy isn't participating in the "slander and defamation of Christians", we're making light of the fact that he compeletly missed the point of the movie, he also perverts statistical analysis and the scientific method in the process.
In several of his reviews (I read about 70% of them before reading the comments on slashdot) he claims to have developed a 'totaly objective method' that is 'scientificly accurate', in complete disregard of the fact that it is not possible to create a method of objective evalution from less-than objective criteria (please explain to me how 'Offense to God' is completely objective)
For a real laugh, check out his Back to School Special in which we learn that the Star of David is a Satanic symbol, as well as the Peace Symbol (according to him, a symbol of an upside-down broken cross... in the reality I've been living in, it's the initials of the CND), the Ying-Yan, the Islamic Star-and-Crescent (supposidy a symbol of 'Satanic lust' (geez this guy must have a phallic complex)). It's also implied that all Hindus and Buddhists are Satanists, and that the symbol on the back of the one-dollar bill (US) is actually the Eye of Satan, placed there by Freemasons who.. what else... worship Satan and control the government. All that and some plain-old stupidity (ie: the "A" in a circle represents Anarchism not Anarchy, the motto of Satanists is not "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law" (I don't think Satanists even have a motto), and the swastica is not a broken cross)

hmm... in the movie this isn't explained very well, but from what I understand (I just re-watched the movie to check this, cue up to the seen where Neo just comes aboard the ship and Morpheus takes him into the construct for the first time) the humans aren't really use to generate energy, just to store it (which we do quite well, any animal turns energy (hard to transport) to tissue (easier to transport, although w/o a lot of antimatter I don't know how they would convert this back to energy quickly)
Humans actually generate a LOT of energy, just that the majority of this energy is in the form of heat (I recall from my 3 semesters of biology that ~ 95% of the energy our muscles use goes to creating heat), which we (at this time) don't know how to make use of efficently, but with proper thermoelectrics it would be possible to create electicity from this.
On the other hand, it seems it would be more practical to use mushrooms or yeast or something, which wouldn't require a matrix or sunlight but would still generate biomass.. but then no movie for us;) (or the AI is using the humans in some kind of distributed.net setup, multitasking in SETI@home (searching for extraterrestrial artifical intellegence ?) on their cortexes while they're asleep, thus nessecitating a form of life w/ associative memory and processing power (which would mean humans), or given the human brains power to store and process imagry, just running the mother of all photoshop sessions:)
