I totally agree with you. The large adds, right smack in the middle of the page, takes away from the real content. That you went to the page in the first place.
These companies will do anything to get there users to click on there humongous banner adds.
I have to agree with this as well.
Most of the money goes to the record companies when albums are bought. That is why record companies are so opposed to napster.
Most artists make most of their money touring.
Anyway if the record companies would look at the statistics they would realize that napster is not hurting the record industry at all. Record sales are up higher than they have ever been in the past.
In my opinion Subscription-Ware will just cause confusion, especially for OEM distrbution. I really dont forsee this idea catching on, but than again I may be wrong.
It is for ideas like this that I am a proud supporter of free, opensource software.
I think this is a sign of good things to come. I have already seen mp3 players run by linux. It will bring more feature rich, open products to users.
As for the programming I think being able to program in languages you already know would greatly invrease the amount of software and applications that are for the particular device.
