I think this might be the one theory about creationism that makes any sense. They know perfectly well evolution (actually the theory is natural selection - evolution was the observation that everyone agreed about) is true, so they advance a position they know to be wrong because that is the only way they can be sure they will face rejection.
They do understand those issues. What they don't understand is that once their competitors also outsource to India and China, they cease to have any advantage, and only then does it dawn on them that they can't undo the damage.
Undoubtedly that's true for some jobs, but a lot of the time the degree requirement is simply to eliminate job candidates for no reason other than the number of applicants is so large as to be unmanageable.
Religion also builds communities. Anyone can believe something that is true, but only the people inside the community will (learn to) believe something they know is false.
Just look at the way modern sports fan or political partisans will self-organize into communities and take pride in keeping 'faith' in their team/party regardless of success or failure.
Lots of places have 'reasonable' public transit but relying on it may still be a compromise in quality of life. On the other hand if the public transit really does (more or less) replace car ownership, then that can alter the cost of living calculation substantially.
Einstein was an excellent scientist, but in pop culture he's known for being a celebrity, not for what he actually did. Most pictures of Einstein were taken decades after he did his best work.
Physicists actually do believe in version of the Steady State theory, except instead of "new matter is continuously created as the universe expands", new space and new dark energy are continuously created. There's no contradiction with the Inflationary Big Bang theory at all.
Great. Now there will be a war to decide whether 'Rus' means Russia or the original Kievian Rus.
England ceased to exist in 1707.

Feudalism.
If they thought finding gravitational waves was hard, just wait until they try to locate a drooling autotroph.
I think there's a few in my kitchen.
1. Go into debt to obtain college degree ...
2.
3. Profit!
So, all this time, step (2) was "figure out a way to do it"!

Yes.
It's stuff that matters. In fact health matters a lot.
Of course Gates didn't invent this idea, he swiped it from someone else.
...like so much else he is incorrectly credited with.
It sounds reasonable but if someone went to that much trouble to steal an airliner, they could have made its disappearance less suspicious.
Communism was a religion, it just wasn't honest about admitting it.
Cognitive dissonance is not the same as stupidity. In fact it sometimes requires quite a bit of ingenuity.

What about the worker who already has a living wage?
I used to think programmers weren't the right people to design a UI; then I saw the one designed by marketing.
TL; DR.
It's merely American Pi Day to the rest of the English-speaking world. The real Pi day isn't until the 31st of April.
Not bogus at all - I'm sure they really did make those predictions.
There's no defense for that.
Unless worker pay is determined by supply and demand, as in, say, a capitalist economy.

If a judge wilfully undermines the rule of law, they should be impeached, disbarred, and tried for, probably not treason but something for sure.
The catch would be it would be next to impossible to prove they exercised bad faith short of them openly boasting about it.
Not merely generate fear, but manufacture it industrially.
