As long as I have power I'll be fine. After all, who needs water to run a computer? I do just fine with soda. Of course soda is majorly part water (and sugar woo woo!) so that's something to think about. About sewers, I got a thingie in my yard so that only gets pumped out every 2 years or so. If I don't have power I can't flush, and then my bathrooms get a TAD stinky. As long as I got power, I can tell you all how fresh my toilet smells.
The difference between China and the US's legal system is that, the brother who talked would have still gotten hard time, and the brother who got the death sentence would have probably got 20 years to life in federal prison. I bet that makes you think twice about commiting a crime in a foreign country, eh?
I wonder if that Office 2000 super counter thingy doesn't GPF on me. Being an accountant, I really need the latest software!
(I was trying to say something funny, but anything I tried just flat out sucked. I'm just trying to make fun of microsoft and this Office 2000 page on xoom.com. I suck)
I never really got into BBS's before. It seems that the old 1200bps modem dial up BBS's live on in CGI scripted message posting web sites. I'm sure its not the same, but with the aging technology, I guess the community could live on.
I feel it is obvious that the world, technology wise, will improve more and more quickly. Things will be faster, smaller, and cheaper as the technology advances.
In my humble opinion, I don't understand why everyone sees the future as a dead filled one. Sure we'll get old and die, but why are some people convinced the entire world will end?
Some human bodies have had deformed bones caused by disease. Isn't it quite possible this THING could just be a deformed human skull? It could very well be a hoax as well.
I've been using Windows for the past few years. I think its time for me to move onto Linux. I've been told that I should try Red Hat or SuSE, because I'm a newbie. Any Linux experts out there that would suggest Corel Linux for me?
Since 1998, I've gradually watched TV ads for websites rise. Now I'm seeing commercials that have many different people say stuff like, "We power the interet." Then they spam a site. I don't understand what the hell that has to do with powering the internet. Stuff like that just downright pisses me off. Its a waste of 30 seconds that could be advertising some caffeine product.
This will probably take off some of my Karma and give me a bad moderation, but what the hell..
I go to school with both jdube/Boolean, and CrayDrygu. Its interesting to see the relations between people in real life, and in the online world.
Cheers to those who have read the article, and posted serious comments based on the facts!
...And btw, CrayDrygu usually has the facts right. Hell, he usually corrects my mistakes. And jdube/Boolean seems to be the leet Debian user heh. Who are you going to listen to, the linux user, or the mostly correct one?

Just this past friday I got a VooDoo3 2000 PCI for my computer, and downloaded q3test 1.08 the following day. I downloaded the most recent drivers for my card right after. If you haven't downloaded the most recent drivers for your 3d card, I suggest you do so ASAP. Check your manufactorer's website for the latest drivers for your card.
Btw, q3test flys on my Celery 333, 32mb ram, VooDoo3 PCI.
As a further note, when you play online, are you using a 14.4? That would make it damn near impossible to play online too.
I'd like to start of by stating my agreement with your little rant. The DOJ is out of hand with this situation. They might as well go back to that Nuclear emergency "FLASH, get under your desks!" After all, that would work so so well...
Currently, I'm a senior in High School. I took Pascal in 9th grade, and horribly failed it. I'm taking it again now, and blowing the HELL out of everyone in my class. My school's computer network is horribly insecure. I've found several ways to access anyones account or in the past the administrator password. (It was "Hewlett".. pretty stupid considering it fucking said HEWLETT PACKARD all over the monitors). Anways, my future project in Pascal class is to write a program that will open and close the cdrom drives all over the school at once. I'm not sure how this will be done, but I'm thinking about once I make this program, I'll distribute it to all the machines that have CDROM drives. With that in hand, I'll try to make my main program send a signal over the network to open the drive bay. I don't think this is the work of a script kiddy, or a cracker, or a hacker. I think its just kinda funny when the ADMIN's look in the computer rooms and see the CDROM Drives opening and closing to a nice sync. I don't consider this lame, but I wouldn't do it to disrupt people work. I'd do it just to prove how insecure my school's network is. Now I just have to pray that this is a possible thing to do in Pascal.
As a further note I'd just like to say, I'm not a script kiddy, nor a hacker, or even a cracker. I'm just a regular internet user. I use a local ISP for surfing, IRC chatting, and online multiplayer gaming. I've encountered several script kiddies before. I don't even come close to their species.
I haven't made the full connection on how Gambling has made a part in this lawsuit. What money does a child make to gamble with? The parents money? Sure! How much can a child get from their parent? $1? $5? not Thousands.
Children don't have this thing, uh, what's it called? I think its a job. Yeah, and they weren't playing this pokemon card game as a game. They were collecting, stealing, and buying off cards. I think i'd better re-read this article to keep my story on track. I may be wrong.
To me, this is just another frivilous lawsuit that just gives people from foriegn countries to laugh at us. Not the "funny ha ha" kind though.

If I get a job at a place that has "spying" software, I'll feel like I am being violated in some way. Not that I'd pull a lawsuit at my employers, but I'd bring my opinion to their attention.
