have you considered optimizing for 3dnow for doom3 (or hell, q3)? I know it ain't all that SSE2 is in terms of potential performance gain, but surely you stand to recoup some frames.
You have any feeling about the p4 as opposed to the athlon and future doom3 performance on either platform?
