It's a question I've had for a long time and I sometimes think about it and it freaks me out:) no really. Ok, we "know" (until someone else proves it's wrong) how the universe is going to end. We are about to "know" how it really started. Great! However, when we are talking about the universe... we are assuming that it is infinite. I just have a hard time with this Infinite Universe concept... the universe NEEDS to be contained within something... however, even if we discover the container... it will end up being a part of our definition of universe and then we'll need to search for the container's container. Anyway, any thoughts on that?
Hi - I just want to drop my 2 cents about this. Artists are making MUCH more out money out of their shows than from the income their albums provide. Per CD, an artist (a famous one) receives between 1 and 2$ per copy MAXIMUM. However, they receive a lot more for the shows they do and that people STILL GO even if they didn't pay for the song. Of course, I'm talking about popular artists (e.g. RIAA backed artists)... it may be different for local artists, punk bands and others non-commercial artists.
Just searched for this topic on goggle, I've found this link where an artist talks about this precise view of the subject. Interesting.
Yeah but they don't pay for it. Nobody (for personal use) pays for the retail version of Windows. The corporate users are the ones spending 200-300$ per license. The average user gets it for free with the computer then upgrades with a friend's copy. It's that simple. Just count how many ppl you know that are getting their retail version in the store? not much I'm sure.
The average user buys a DELL or HP computer and, surprise, it comes with Windows included and they didn't get explicitly charged for it so it's free (in their mind). How do you really expect Joe Average to consider Linux if the current stuff is free and works fine for doing Excel stuff.

"Do you really want fewer movies to choose from?"
:)
Quality over quantity? oh you bet!
But be careful, true anarchies do exist in this world, but they're not very pleasant places to live.
Where?
