Seriously? How do you propose you design a flat piece of glass with a computer and battery attached to it other than slate-like? EVen the iPad looks eerily similar to those devices used on Star Trek and other movies and TVs
pagepluscellular, 55 dollars a month, unlimited talk/text 2GB data. Verizon network and phones required, but you can pickup a good used verizon 3G android phone for 100-200
I bet that that was on purpose. Let's send them as much as possible so they have to work for days/weeks/months to find what they actually asked for inside that mess.
Take it from the kitchen to the dining room to the basement to the back porch. Take it home on holidays when visiting family. How many "laptops" are actually carried around in the sense that they move from location to location every day compared to how many sit on the same table for weeks/months at a time?
Sure they are, one's a useful device at a good price, the other is way too expensive for such limited uses.
at 500 bucks it's still too expensive. It's the same price as a good windows laptop.
Speaking of blatant ignorance... The context of this entire sub-thread is in regards to the claim that
does tablet _have_ to be a rectangle with rounded corners? they didnt used to be before the ipad.
But it is a tablet that is a rectangle with rounded corners. Apparently they didn't exist before the iPad.
A squircle perhaps?
Marketing. They should patent that.
In the early 00s there certainly were rectangle with rounded corner tablets.
Checkout Electrovaya Scribbler SC-2000 for example
Nope, it was evolutionary. Not revolutionary.
It's not that different to a large Palm Pilot. A bigger colour screen and a bit more CPU.
Because it's a tablet, based off a smart phone that looks pretty similar, just smaller.
Goggles are another product entirely, or do you propose that the google self-driving car is equivalent to a tablet?
And 7 inch tablets at that! Because it's so similar to the 7" iPad

except you can take a lot of phones to an off-brand prepaid plan and save a lot of money...
You mean like Lars Ulrich did with printouts of napster usernames and filenames?

I use it all day every day, on 10-100s of servers and desktops. WTF
He thought they mean illegal aliens?
Then you're not a h1-b, what this entire topic is about.
That could be part of the drive for the Passport Card which was introduced a few years ago.
ok, maybe not EAD. But greencard, yes
If you are on a greencard you must carry that with you at all times. EAD, same thing.
A driver's license is not proof of citizenship.
You mean like the work authorization card that you are supposed to carry ANYWAY?
They've gone to plaid
