Why do we need 800Gbps on a cellphone? Or even 100Gbps?
So I can download an app in 560 microseconds? I do not see the point. What possible use case is there for that much bandwidth, even if data caps went away (yeah right)..There is only so much you can do with a mobile device.
Does it matter if I download an HD movie in 30mS instead of 400mS? Or even if I download a 4k movie in a fraction of a second, its still kinda pointless.
Now I am fully aware that 640k is actually not enough memory for anybody, but come on guys, what sort of need would we really have for 800Gbps on a cellphone or tablet? There reaches a point where the returns diminish beyond human perception.
I have placed it in another room and run HDMI and USB cables, but the propagation delay caused horrible tearing and lag when playing games

I hate to be pedantic but....ahh fuck it, I LOVE to be pedantic....the propagation delay of signals in anything other than a vacuum is always a fraction of c. So the speed of the signals through a cable can be anything from 65% to >90% of light speed in a vacuum.
But at the end of the day, the propagation delay in the cable itself is still way way less than 1 microsecond, which is not perceptible in the slightest for a human. The electronics at either end of the cable are a whole different ballgame, and are the cause of perceptible lag and delays in a system.
How will people function in society if they are completely unable to write? Filling out a form? Writing a note on a piece of paper? Or the hundreds of thousands of times in a lifetime where you needed to write something with a pen/pencil?
What happens if you forget your phone, or the power goes out, or.....for fuck sake, how can you function with such a disability?

There is no such thing as privacy and if the NSA/CIA wish to listen, there is nothing you or anyone else can do about it.

Over the years, I have said quite a few things critical of America and its surveillance state, and of its gun culture, on this site.
Because of this, I think there is a pretty good chance that if I ever went to the US that I would discover that Im on some watchlist, and that travelling there would be quite scary and difficult.
