The first post commented on can you get them in a week via moviefone. Well, when I order via moviefone, the tix are in a computer system at the box office and I just head to the will call window bypassing the lines. I hope this is the same way for SW. If not, I might be ticked off.

On your "point" about Right Wing "engaged in a massive act of communal myth-generation," I don't see that. What I see is people elected in good faith on both sides of the political spectrum falling to the status quo that has existed for ages in our country. A lot of the people that affiliate themselves with a "Wing" don't 100% believe in the spew. I know hard core right-wingers disagree a lot on enviro issues and a lot of hard-core left-wingers side with management at the grass roots level. I think that once a person gets elevated to national status in a party, they get swept up in the politicing and forget what they use to be about. Stereotyping the whole group doesn't get us anywhere.
On to more meat and potatoes...
Yeah, there are a lot of kooks out there screaming out about nationalism, about how the races should be seperate or how there should be just one race, but those people are not what makes up a political faction. Those are people that make up a serious threat to the public at large. Yes, I can logically see how guns could be a positive thing in this tragedy, but not emotionally. A lot of people think with pure emotion and a lot of people think with pure logic. No one can live by the extremes alone.
Speaking as a former BB Video employee, Nearly 90% of movies bought by the chain run in excess of $100. This is how the Studios can make money. You pay $3.00 for the rental so 30 rentals before a copy actually turns a profit for BBV. Usually takes anywhere from 3 weeks to over 6 months for an invidual copy to return the investment. But, I am not figuring in cost of doing business or that. Usually, they get marked down after a while to be sold as a "Previously viewed movie" If you buy one of these, BBV is happy. If you replace it, BBV is happy, if you do not, BBV sends the creditors out. Also send them out if you have more than $20 in late charges usually after 90 days. Just to let yall know.
Look, as much as we like to bash AOL for empowering the idiots of the world to have internet access, they are a business and must make money. AOL does much more than the AOL we know such as ICQ, Netscape, and corporate Internet services. Usually, when they enter a market, prices drop. Service from AOL isusually so-so to good, but DNS names aren't maintnence intensive unless you move your servers around every day. AOL might be good for this.
If your Domain is about to expire, can you renew it through one of the other newer competitors? Or Does NSI have the billions of names already registered locked in?
Along the lines of the posts above, you apparently didn't read the article closely.
It requires not only the Fed sites to become "access-enabled" but allows anyone doing business with the government from the largest company in the US selling billions to them or the smallest company selling a $.02 pen to the government.
Yes, we need to have access to our government, no matter what your situation is, but the regulations affects non-governmental sites too.
It may cost a little for each site to comply, but that little adds up to a lot considering the sheer number of sites and companies that do business with the government. Remember, the U.S. government is the largest single employer in the world.
I do agree whole heartedly that Linux could, properly tuned, beat the living windows out of NT. But, the whole problem is tuning it. I am an admitted Linux newbie and I am having a hard time finding information to tweak and polish my install. But, I am finding the information slowly but surely. At least I am trying to find it. It looks like Mindcraft was in a room by itself and asked if anyone knew how to tune Linux. I think RedHat dropped the ball on this one.
Yeah. *Sigh* Money tends to cause major coporations to have huge "Whose is biggest?" contests. Usually, the loser ends up with theirs cut off. Oh well, if corporations didn't make money, they would be in business.
My God, when will these companies ever learn that they are just killing themseleves by fighting over a format. THE CUSTOMER DOESN'T CARE HOW IT WORKS! All a customer wants to know is that when the button is pressed, something happens! Preferably, the right thing happens. They could be making money sooner if they just agree on a format.
Um, if I remember the nice tech brochure on DirecTV, the signal is encoded using MPEG technology. Using the S-Vid link to my tv makes the picture look unbelievable.
so it is just a piece of vaporware right now but usually when Dell says something, they usually do it. At least in my experience. When investors hear that Dell has the capability to do a iMac "Clone" (for the lack of a better word), the investors just see dollar signs. So plan for it to be on shelves by 99 or 00 xmas
Well, if you consider a $0.75US upcharge per ticket "cut off a pinky yakuza-style"...
I am proud to be able to have a credit card since it is "Everywhere I want to be"
And I want to be in the theater when it opens.
Some of us treasure and don't blow the privilege that credit is. I, for one, treasure it because of events like this.

Ice will only form in the presence of water (You are thinkin' "Duh!")
They seem to have taken care of the condensation problem by insulating/isolating the CPU.
I think what they are doing is awesome. I might get the balls and see what I can do with my old P200.

Even though it is MSware, if they can pull it off then I would more than likely use the system.
But I would definitely have to hear it to believe it.
