  1. Some years ago I was at film school, and we had a visit from 2 producers from Warner Bros. They proudly told how they could be certain of grossing $80million on a film, no matter how bad it was. The longer the trailer, the worse the film actually is. We, as budding film makers were absolutely disgusted and there was an impromptu walkout. As they so arrogantly reminded us "no one ever asks for their money back at the cinema". We should.

  2. Can we ditch CSS and HTML too? on Will WebAssembly Replace JavaScript? (medium.com) · · Score: 1

I'm fed up of having to use JQuery and Bootstrap for the most basic of layouts, and spending 10 minutes moving a text 3 pixels to the left. When you have a programming background it's painful to have to use SQL/php/CSS/HTML AND Javascript for what would take 5 minutes native. I predict WebAssembly will be used for EVERYTHING.

Trump says he'll attract companies back to the US. This will only happen by lowering the minimum wage and giving executives tax cuts. He's publicly stating that he will give the rich tax cuts. No mention of how he will make manufacturing in the US profitable. Trickle down has not, and will never work, Giving the rich more money does not mean they invest in jobs, they invest in yachts.
