  1. Amazing on Sun backs off Open Java Plan · · Score: 1

Somehow I knew that people would find a way to blame Microsoft. Floods, locusts...blame Microsoft. The truth is, Sun is is competitive like any other company and was only giving lip service to the Kumba-ya, sit around the campfire and sing the praises of open source community. It is not like I need Java anyway. It I wanted to write low-level code, I would just use C++, it is a hell of a lot faster. Why does this bitchin' "new" language look some much like a 3GL..oh, but wait Linux is a copy of 1970's OS technology anyway.

I read through the example on how to force yourself to run the example trojan. It is pretty simple - virus, trojan, whatever...don't let your machine be compromised. I am sure there there are plenty of nice Linux hacks too, but the Linux hobbyists have more to prove I suppose.

There is a difference between being knowledgable and being a back room dwelling, low-level, C/Java coding on UNIX, unpresentable in front of clients, "code troll" like many of Linux gearheads.

Can you get hackers to show up for work before noon and come in everyday? There are too many that just can't fathom the concept of a normal workday. It doesn't mean come in for the 5-hour shift, kick off the sandals, and crank up the Grateful Dead.

Suprise. Yes, it happens to Linux advocates too. Any time a Wintelphile speaks up, they are immediately bashed/firebombed/or killed by fanatics who are "fighting against the man" (Bill Gates) by the Linux/Apple people. We are usually afraid to speak up.
