Consider a 5-member band, that money from all those gigs starts dwindling down pretty quickly when you start to consider all the associated costs of living on the road. Furthermore, with a career in another field they will have to do exactly as you say Runaway1956. Set the music aside. Then what? We collectively have no music to listen to because nobody can afford to spend time creating it. This thread isn't about album sales, its about a streaming service that makes its money off a few advertisements. There's no money coming out of your pocket here.
