There may exist problems with trying to use them as a camera though. Some people leave the tape door open so the 5 minute automatic shut-off doesn't occur.

How many years of close range exposure would be required to cause a noticable effect? Does it compare with the statistics of car accident fatalities contributed by yakking drivers?
And does the rise in brain tumours correlate with a rise in right-earlobe cancer or right-hand index finger cancer?

Well, I just read the article. It speaks of an equally sized astroid. It says the chance of an undiscovered kilometer sized asteriod hitting the Earth in any year is 10 to the -5 while the chance of being hit by this particular astroid in 2039 is 10 to the -9. Okay I feel much better now. The chance of being hit by an undiscovered planet killing asteroid before 2039 is 40,000 times greater than the chance this one will finish us off. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!
Nice, but the chance of being hit by just any 'ol asteroid vs. a mile-wide asteroid makes a difference. The fact the Earth can (and does) get pelted with itty bitty asteroids doesn't alarm me. Saying the chance that this mile wide asteroid will hit the Earth is equal to any undiscovered astroid on any day, makes me wonder.
Sigh. Everybody here keeps wondering what set him off or who should have been sued or even how it could only happen in America. The real moral of the story, Guns+kids=trouble. Or maybe Guns+wackos=trouble. Or even guns+(wacko kids)=trouble^2.
As for America, I like it in spite of the morons and the sheep. It sure beats the places I've been where being killed by the government is a lot more common than being killed in school.
