Hate those stupid gas pumps. Useless if your card is from outside the US.
Actually there is a way to use this even if your card is from outside the US. For example I have cards from Canada and the convention is to use the numbers from your postal code and add 00 at the end. It works well. If yours is from another country google around, they might have a convention on how to get the "ZIP" code you're supposed to use.
It is Orwellian doublespeak. Orwell did not get the year right, but the direction is correct. At the current rate it will be around 2024 rather than 1984. I wonder what name Big Brother will have...
my digital camera (1DsMarkII from Canon) has ISO ranges from 50 to 3200 with the switch of a dial, no need to change film. It will also take over 600 pictures on one charge. I don't know the exact limit as it has not run out yet...
As far as answering voice/fax I posted the following in our linux user group on how to get Linux to work as an answering machine/fax machine with caller id and have the messages automatically emailed to you with any associated directory information

the sensor size is the same, but the resolution of the 5D is 12mp while the 1DsMkII is 16mp.
There are some great review sites, like

I am getting a Nikon 990. It has nearly all the features I want (except voice) at a good price (899).
All except the voice to text I know can be done.
The text to speech can be done using rsynth.
