I hardly think mucking with something as arbitrary as the democratick of baseball can be considered "evil." It's clear that he wasn't even trying very hard.

GEEK Unions?

Speaking of compulsory unions, I used to be in a UFCW. I believe it stood for United Food and Commerce (Commercial?) Workers.
Sorry, that one's taken. Ah, to be a fresh-faced grocery drudge...
Advocacy is getting to be a tired subject. Get used the level of ineptitude that comes along with free speech. Some people have utterly repellent methods of communication. These people will get what's coming to them, more likely than not at a job interview or on a date. Evil is its own punishment
Just as pornography drove image file formats, I guess one must accept that something as (seemingly) pointless as gaming will drive computing technology. Heck, it has since long before Castle Wolfenstein.
Maybe if I played games, I'd be a bit more excited. All these advances in 3D technology don't seem to mean all too much for me, though.
Do compilers get anything from directx support? My uninformed leaning is toward "no."
Ideology is funny. People who get mired in the finer points of ideology are comic.
I find it odd that the same people who insist that "free" should retain its popular definition of "gratis" refuse to accept that in culture at large, "hacker" means "cracker". Sometimes the most popular standards are the double-kind.
It's very hard to drive on the left, cars being manufactured as they are here. Believe me, I've tried.
People from the United States, arrogant? I'm given to understand we're some of the meekest, gentlest people. That's why everyone keeps showering our embassies with doves and flowers.
The linux community needs to stop looking at every problem person as a Microsoft shill.
Indeed. I fear that the atonality of text has robbed my original statements of their intended facetiousness. Armchair conspiracy theory is a lark as long as it's not taken seriously.
Please, let me believe that the flame composers are working for the other side. I don't want to face the prospect that the standard bearers of my OS of choice are a rabid horde of social retards.
This is precisely my point; not as far as you've seen. If infiltrative FUD is taking place, it is most certainly a covert operation.
The fact that the flames work to Mindcraft's advantage (to the extent that they are worthy of posting on their front page) makes them immediately suspect.
Maybe I'm just in love with the notion of highly-paid PR specialists pretending to be rabid 3733t kiddies. You have to admit, when you take the Evil out of it, it -is- a funny picture.
"Many coders aren't good writers and their programs need documentation. Offer to help them with it or join the Linux Documentation Project if that's a strength."
...am I wrong to be just a little bit concerned that you're suggesting flame-writers take part in the Documentation Project?
All well and good, except that many people don't have time (or choose not) to read other news sources. I certainly don't read ZDnet by choice; I appreciate someone else taking the time to point out when there is something worth reading there.
It's not too far of a stretch to assume that the bulk of the flame-writers work for a P.R. firm close to Redmond. Radicalizing "undesirable" movements by using impersonators to discredit them is an old trick. This technique was used effectively throughout the last decade or two by large pharmaceutical, oil, and surgical interests in order to combat environmentalists and whistleblowers. The loudest, most destructive activists were on the payroll of the companies they sabotaged. It's all about creating the kind of press that most benefits you.
Or they could just be a bunch of deranged teenagers. But that's not nearly as sinister.
I'm as naive as most others when it comes to biology, but it seems as though it would be unlikely to have tagged DNA in a living being. The reason steganography works in, say, image files is because there are unused bits in there. I know of no such unused space in DNA; once you change it, you have a fundamentally different string. What does that add up to in a living being? Cancer?
Maybe it's just the peculiarities of the java applet, but it seems as though the difficulties I have with it go deeper than the learning curve. How could dragging the mouse into the upper left major zone produce a Y?
If it works for someone, somewhere, more power to it. One feature of Graffiti that I really appreciate, though, is its position-independence.

Whatever, there's code to write.

I can't count the number of appointments I would have missed had I not externalized my brain into this hunk of plastic.
Okay, and there's admittedly PocketChess too. But as far as I'm concerned, the productivity boosts more than excuse the "toy" aspects.

I believe the parrot book was "Lingo in a Nutshell," off the top of my head. Could be wrong.

An expert clarification would be appreciated.
Study concludes: use of Microsoft products, especially in conjunction with AOL services, will lead to utopia in two generations or less.
Nothing like impartial funders.
Never, ever refer to "Walker, Texas Ranger" as "a very excellent TV show."
"Pray for our generation. We can't win."

The old link to glycerine didn't mention a move to dgmicro.
Damn. Thought this was going to be a news-bit about Linux on Microchannel systems. Fat chance of new developments, I know, but one can dream..
You imply that there's something wrong with anarchist teenagers. ;)
