    Multicast works only when everybody's on the same network and watching at the same time. To do this on a residential network you end up duplicating a cable system with 100 different streams overloading the trunk.

    Seems like you always hate your cable provider, and would hate Google if their fiber product existed where you live.

    How'd you work with him? He keeps everything to himself.

    We at one company had a face-off between French and Spanish immigrants. The Spanish guy worked well with me, the French guy kept to himself. then tried to claim credit for my work which nobody believed and then he was out.

    This makes no sense. You can't stream ESPN to everybody, it belongs on broadcast bandwidth on your cable system. Turning some Google Fiber bandwidth into a cable system is a better idea.

    IE6's error was that the same dialog box was displayed for ActiveX you want and ActiveX that had a bad payload. Code signatures just weren't ready yet.

  9. Tax forms used to be found at every post office and library in the 80s... now with TurboTax so cheap (and free to some users) there isn't much need for that anymore. Obscure forms exist, and are downloaded by TurboTax when you indicate you're in that kind of situation.

    Yep, you need Windows or Mac to run TurboTax's download... how does a Linux-only user fill out their taxes?

    Minifying is like compiling... taking the longer source code variable names and turning them into cryptic symbols.

    Is the error in your neighborhood wrong on all map services? Your town may have put up misleading street signs when GPS was going through.

    You left something out... you need to give them Windows 10 today in order for them to process the current media. You don't want to leave sesamestreet.com to insecure browsers only.

    Quotes at the command line join together strings that contain spaces... it's basically a one-character escape sequence that keeps the name of the object (directory or filename) together even when it contains a space.

    Nice that Macaffe found the uninstall instructions for this... but what is the payload they were trying to deploy. The God Mode install of a file device is a way to get in that must be closed. but what did this do if left installed? Knowing what this does if left alone leads to who to blame.

    We have moderators that send bad posts into a -1 point dustbin. The Editors (team that posts the stories) have power to remove anything patently offensive, but don't censor on words alone.
