    Norton Ghost if you don't mind closed source paid software. It's got many modes of operation. My preferred way is MS-Networking-on-a-boot-floppy reading an image off a SMB share, but it also has a TCP/IP multicast client/server mode as well as regular partition-to-partition copying.

    The alternator is run straight off the engine belt that powers the water pump, cooling fan and AC if you have it.

    Use a wheel dynamo, and a smallish solar panel while you're at it. It would alleviate the problem of carrying spare or high capacity batteries. Just one set being continually replenished should work just fine. Put the solar panels on your cycling cap!

    Could someone post all the DNS, netmask, IP ranges associated to Copyright.Net and related entities. That way we can all add them to our 'deny' rules and levee around them.

    This being said, I am not naive enough to pretend it's going to stop anything.... but if one should find a 'copyright.net' hit on a firewall and serve them with a cease-and-desist (for violating any number of privacy or computer abuse laws); it just may cause Them to reconsider their operations.

    Basically, almost all ISPs worthy of the name specifically prohibit portscanning and other forms of remote tampering. If you start mucking around with ShareSniffer, your ISP will start receiving all sorts of abuse reports from many sources. They will not be happy.

    I've got enough netbus/subseven hits on my f-wall as it is; If it starts logging ShareSniffer hits on top of that, well the emails to abuse@whateverisp.com will start flying again ...
