Mine's been running for 2 weeks solid with no problems, and at least 8 tabs constantly open. Maybe you're doing something wrong.

i've been programming in dvorak for a while (c++, python, perl), and i think it's quite a bit more comfortable than qwerty. the number keys are all the same, so that doesn't matter much. the placement of period, comma, and quote are the main factors, i think, as i use those at least as often, if not moreso, than ().
that's not to say that vi isn't a little weird in dvorak, but you can get used to it.
i used to have a side job of repairing musical instruments. i've always figured i'd wind up back doing that at some point, as it was extremely low-stress, i was producing something tangible, and the customers generally had a good idea of what they wanted. none of which is true in my current position (the stress could be debated somewhat, but i never gave up a weekend while fixing instruments).
what has been interesting to me is the mental processes that carry over between the two jobs.
i.e. as far as i have X tools and i need to get Y done with them, and also the process of making jigs and such and how that relates to writing small functions and scripts to get some procedure done.
said is was done by voice vote, so short of finding your appropriate congressperson and asking him/her face to face, there's no way to know, since, as you said, any letter would just net you a form response.
man, i love my 2496. i mostly use it to record vinyl to the hard drive so i can burn it to cd and listen in the car & mp3 it so i can listen at home without wearing out the records and having to switch them after every song.
great for practicing mixing, too, cause i can listen to myself screw up and try to do better next time...
eventually we're going to have to leave this planet for one reason or another. it would be nice to be able to do it at our convenience, rather than being forced off.
but when i read that the first time i was mentally picturing a saltine. i was wondering if maybe crumbs were falling into the controls or something like that....
yes, it was one of the better animated movies i've seen... (and i've seen some BAAAAAAAAAAAAAD anime) considering that, it could have been much worse.
but then, i didn't go see titan ae to be moved, i went to look at the pretty pictures. i'd venture that if you're looking for some sort of substance to your movies, you aren't going to find it in an animated movie....
Exchange Rates! How do they work?!
This was a recent topic on stackoverflow. There are some really good suggestions there.
Kingdom of Loathing does something very similar to this and has been around for several years.

i still mostly think like a repairman, though.

apparently this editorial about Trustworthy Computing was missed.
is that this was for a 1500 word essay. it's not like it's hard to come up with 1500 words about some everyday example of physics in action.
these people are in college, if they can't come up with 1500 words about something that easy, they deserve to fail the class.
cause the slashdot article about it. i hadn't been back in a couple of months, though.

I don't recall agreeing to that. Don't I need to "sign" something to say that I agreed to it, rather than being told that I agree to it?
Just wondering.....
