I've used Eclipse for a while but was forced to change to IDEA because of a new project I got involved in and the project, including the GUI, was written in IDEA. So I wasn't able to migrate the project to Eclipse because IDEA does some magic with the Swing part (if someone can tip me on how to get the Swing GUI written in IDEA working in Eclipse, it would be great!).
But I like Eclipse. Here is why:
- Eclipse looks more polished including fonts, project navigation... - Overall usage is clearer in Eclipse. I like Eclipse's views - IDEA's small changing windows in the bottom of the GUI and popup windows are frustratingly messy. - Debugger in Eclipse is GREAT! - Code analyzer works on all files in the project, not only the one open in the editor.
Both have similar great features that I couldn't live without anymore and IDEA is good too, but I like *using* Eclipse more.
Wow, I just have to say that this is impressing! I started to use the Web in late 1995 and I have to say that this is fascinating to see how it all came to this. Even some of the old links on Netscape/Mozillas "What's New" -page is still working!:)
Those were the days when the Web wasn't yet commercialized...
I don't know about any of you, but I think this is REALLY sick already! The humans have f**ked with nature already quite a lot, but this is beyond everything already. Jesus...
Ok, so I admit beeing online for more than 4 hours a day - sometimes up to 10 hours. I just don't think beeing an Internet-addict is as devastating as beeing an alcoholic or drug abuser;)
Also, I mean, really...he looks 10 lbs. heavier every time I see him in print!
I saw Linus in a finnish TV interview from -95 and he was at least 20kg (sorry, don't know what it is in lbs:-/) smaller:) Looked like a real geek then... But I guess those Guinnes' have made a difference. Btw. he spoke his mother tongue, Swedish, then.

First post?!? :-)
Wow, I am reading Slashdot on Netscape 0.93! It works and even looks quite good. I think this is how a web browser still should look like! :)
