There's a certain brand of baby wipes that comes in a plastic box designed like that. They're about the size of a shoe box, collect a few dozen and build furniture or something... not very sturdy though (thin plastic).
This may be a different way of looking at it but I see it as an "endorsement." If Gateway uses Windows, customers see it as an endorsement. If Gateway also uses other competing products, then that endorsement loses its meaning. If you saw a Britney Pepsi commercial followed by a Britney Coke commerical, would either endorsement be effective? So wouldn't it be in Pepsi's best interest to see that she only endorses Pepsi?
We have it here in rural Louisiana through Charter Communications, and in addition to pay-per-view movies, kids section, TLC and discovery selections, we can watch the previews/trailers for free. As an added bonus, it also has an "In Theaters" section to play trailers of movies in theaters (the selection on here is somewhat limited, I watched trailers for "Harry Potter" and "Hearts in Atlantis," but no SW-Episode II trailers yet hehe)
Back in my high school we got tons of parts donated from banks and other businesses... a lot of it was junk, but we had a great time in some of my computer classes disassebling the machines and salvaging what we could... granted we had a teacher who actually knew a little about parts(many of us students knew more though).
Students can learn a lot from just tinkering...even with old stuff many people wouldn't want.
Agreed. I recently had about 50 cds stolen from my car...While I lost the media, I still legally own the license to the cds that I purchased (and I still have the jewel cases with upcs in case I ever need to prove it). Thanks to mp3s, Napster, and my handy CDR, my collection is nearly restored. In my case, Napster was not used for theft, but rather in order to help me as a theft victim who would otherwise NEVER be able to replace my collection. Sure, lots of people use it to illegally download music, but can you really blame the makers of Napster for the crimes of its users? People trade mp3s through icq, irc, and numerous other means, so should you sue icq and the irc networks?
No more street fighter!?! Oh well, I guess the streets will be safe from stray Hadoken fireballs and Sonic Booms.
But then you'd really have to worry about data erosion!

Any idea if this could be brought to other platforms, i.e. Win or Mac?
What kind of (dis)advantage would this give in the aquatic events?
probably not out of the ordinary, but those plastic tie wraps tend to be especially handy for harnessing those particularly spiteful wires.
