At least the fate of one of the four Buran prototypes is now confirmed." There is not much confirmation on this, outside of a few pictures... let the reader beware
Confirmed or not? Make up your mind.
from my understanding, all gmail users that click the little "report spam" button are essentially helping build the database and increase the effectiveness of its filters... though I guess they must be careful because this could potentially generate a lot of false positives.
You can download TMBG Clock Radio off their site which is essentially a flash app that streams mp3s. I noticed that after listening that the mp3s showed up in my Internet Explorer cache and could be easily saved, no DRM or anything. I did a little searching through the newsgroups and found out the files are served by http and the only security is when the server does a browser check and denies download unless the browser is the flash app. Some sneaky people even use WGET's user-agent flag to download the files directly from TMBG. Probably not legal, but seems like they haven't done much to protect themselves.
Just do a few google searches you'll find plenty of arguments on both sides... people have disagreed for a long time and I don't expect to change that here. But for some interesting reading, look into the writings of Josephus and Tacitus.
Believe what you want about who Jesus was, whether he was the son of God, or whatever, but most historians will tell you they definately believe there was a guy named Jesus who caused quite a stir among society in his time and apparently he still causes quite a stir today. How many people do you know of that are used as a point of reference when measuring time? (i.e. B.C. & A.D.).
though I agree with most of your post, I must point out that xbox doesn't support progressive scan... the feature was originally to be included but removed shortly before the launch.
I've used devices made by Elmo, and from my experience, they are little more than a cheap camera mounted with zoom/focus controls on the base... you could probably mount an old camcorder over a well lit surface to do something similar, especially if you had one with a remote.
If only we could breed a friendly virus that would attack cancer cells in the host body...but then I guess we'd have to make another virus to kill that one when we're done with it, and so on, and so on...
Did a test run with some default images in windows xp. Windows XP's "Purple Flower.jpg" is apparently more "alive" than Windows Xp's "Tulips.jpg" but "Windows XP.jpg" is more alive than both of them!
An excellent film, while it is japanese and animated, I wouldn't consider it anime in the traditional sense. It has a level of drama not found in most anime. Not one to watch with the friends on "anime night" unless you don't mind shedding a tear or two in front of your buddies
There's a slight reference in "Signs" which happens to be released on video tomorrow... not prior to 1991 but it's a cool movie so I thought I'd mention it
If there is a sequel seems like they'd have to have a change in pace... since this one spans about half a century in time span, how far into the future will a sequel extend?
This is kinda like how George changed star wars without asking the fans first

I notice the F-bomb appears in their list twice in english, I don't know if it also there in chinese
Maybe Lucas will authorize their creation and then die
we should start a charity to finance "the hit"

This guy's real, Jesus wasn't.

Anyone else seen the Online NES Emulator ?
Ipswitch's version is very similar to the thumbnail on Photodisc... did they actually get the image or just use the thumbnail?
...that this game blows

This may be useless but CNET also has the same article here
I used to work tech support for an ISP 4 or 5 years ago and there was always this one customer that would call me saying "my hotbot don't work."
I had trouble convincing him there was nothing I could do about it.
