    We had a similar situation.

    Asterisk wasn't properly setup for the channel bank ( Rhino, IIRC )

    It didn't mention that during Clinton, North Korea's WMD development was STOPPED COLD, with UN inspectors, Seals, Video surveillance and Mk I Eyeball Surveillance for EIGHT YEARS, then Bush comes along and in 3 years while he's dicking around in Iraq ( NOT A THREAT ) our "Friends" in Pakistan are helping North Korea develop nukes.

    But hey, Blame Clinton, cause you know, 8 years of shutting down the program doesn't count.

    72 hours or so, and then you have to be cut loose, IIRC, IANAL.

    Of course, that was one of the anti-protester strategies used for the RNC in NYC, wasn't it? Just round 'em up, shove 'em in the hole for the weekend, and then cut them loose. MOST people will just be glad to get out, and won't pursue the lawsuit for false arrest, etc...

    That is true.

    However, the Executives authority IS LIMITED TO those things SPECIFICALLY ENUMERATED.

    In other words, Bush might be the Commander in Chief of the Army, Navy, and Organized Federal Militias, but he ain't the Commander in Chief of any CIVILIANS.

    And, since he's not PERMITTED in the Constitution to conduct Domestic Surveillance, it's wrong.

    Yeah, But only Bush could have GIVEN INTO Bin Ladin's demands to withdraw troops from Saudi Arabia, AND turn the US into the Moral Equals of Nazis, with respect to the rule of law.

    TODAY, tossing someone in a cell FOR LIFE, without Equal Protection of the Law is PERFECTLY LAWFUL. What about Tomorrow?

    In Nazi Germany, gassing and shovelling Jews into Ovens was PERFECTLY LAWFUL, too.

    Unless you SUPPORT Torture, Secret Prisons, and Domestic Surveillance so tight the Nazis and Commies would have given their right tits for,

    EVERY VENUE is needed to denounce the Violations of:

    Bush's oath to G-d, Articles 1, 4, and 14 of the Constitution. amd 50USC1802 and 1805, just to name a few...
