Great crack investigating there McGruff...you managed to exposed a clause that has been in the license for almost half a decade. Apple better watch out making any other changes, with you on the case, you might expose them in 2015.

That is a troll-ish comment. I am Mormon and I don't believe myself to be "crazy". It appears the only one with a serious issue is you and your problem with Mormons. I live 4 miles from SCO headquarters, and they disgust me by their actions. Everyother Mormon I have met that is informed on the situation is disgusted also. In fact I know of Mormons who worked at Caldera who disapprove of SCOs actions. I can't believe someone would still make such a stupid comment like this...this is the 21st century, right?
I believe Center& is another of Uncle Ray's (Ray Noorda, of Novell fame) ventures. SCO and Center7 are all in a complex that is owned by the Canopy Group which belongs to Uncle Ray. See, Caldera used to be up in Orem, then when their stock started tanking and things got bad they went to Uncle Ray for money. Uncle Ray made them move to his new digs. I know, who cares.
if you ever want Rendevous to be at all useful to people in the real world, it has to be cross-platform. So either submit it to a standards body, or better yet, make "The Rendevous Group"
They have submitted it to a standards body and little organization called IETF! http://www.zeroconf.org
Oh, and the working group was there long before Apple started marketing Rendevous.
Maybe you should look into that pill and f***ing clue.
You are on the wrong site my friend. What did you expect? For all of slashdot to thank you for your enlighting words? Hey, why don't you go give your $$$$$$$ to billy gates and let him crap in a Windows 2000 box for you.
The MacOS and Windows were both ripped off from Xerox, so don't give me that "Windows stole mac" crap
Well, if the MacOS sucks...and since the MacOS and Windows have the same the ancestry. Wouldn't Windows suck? Or is it all the Microsoft "innovations" that made it not suck?
Macintosh? You mean those cute looking things they have in computer stores? The ones that have a commercial about "changing your decor" to match them? There's some real machines!
I thought you were ripping on GUIs? But, your comments on Macintosh are about their case? Great comeback, you really showed that guy that the MacOS is lame...
he deserves the scorn and ignominy of being a felon.
Maybe we should brand Mitnick's forhead with a big CH for computer hacker. Look man, if you don't give ex-cons a second chance WE (the people) have to pay for their livelyhood thru the welfare system. He is not a violent criminal, and he payed/is paying his time, let him live his life.
Utah is not my permenant resting place, I am here because of employment. I too felt similar about Utah prior to my moving here. But, after living here for 4+ years, my life is pretty much the same as it was in Florida, California, and Arizona. I don't know what I had to get used to except a unusual amount of mormons (as compared to the rest of the US) My cusion from Provo Utah could not belive that we lock our doors
Here is the ironic thing about this, I lock my doors in Utah, but I didn't lock them in Florida... I guess my problem is that you orginal post made it sound like you were some authority on Utah BECAUSE your parents made you go to the mormon church. You have been in Utah for, what sounds like 2 months total, and you have "talked to cousins" from Utah. I don't think you qualify as an authority on Utah.
I am not saying I AGREE with the censorship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I am saying is that whether mormons have 1, 5, 20 wives has no bearing on censorship in libraries!! To say, the moral belifs of Mormons tend to be more strict then the rest of us would have been better then saying, "mormons have multiple wive so it is not surpring that they are censoring libraries"
I grew up in North Florida just across from the Alabama border. I found people in this area far more strict than Utah. Oh, by the way I hate the Jazz, too.:)
By this you mean someone forced to go to the mormon church?
I have been to Utah several times and I can tell you it is nothing like the outside world.
Well, I have lived in Florida, Arizona, Califonia and it didn't seem that much different for me. I think the difference between you and me is you have VISITED Utah, I haved lived in Utah AND Florida. The only difference I see is that most of the church building are LDS and not other denominations.
I live in Utah but I am not FROM Utah. I relize that pilgamy still occurs has little to do with censorship in libraries. I did in fact live outside Utah for most of my life (21 years)...I seemed to adjust pretty well. Oh, by the way I am from Florida also...DeFuniak Springs.
sure...have all the wives you want... Ya, in the 1800s...check your history pal. When a real state starts doing something about it, maybe I, and the rest of the US will care. What consitutes a "real" state? Does it have to measure to some sort of coffee house coolness for you? Your state is just as insignificate to me as my state is to you...
I know your pain! The CS dept at my school isn't even NT they are 98!!! They teach classes around the Wintel platform...What I hate is that these schools CS dept. are turning into M$ training centers. If you are going to teach CS, teach me about the computer not about some vendor. That is why linux and the *BSDs should be the OS, I can see how it works and learn the principle, and then apply it to M$ or Mac or whatever. I work for a k-12 school district also, same thing instead of teaching kids about "computer ideas" like what is a mouse, what is a icon...some want it to become a M$ training center. They want to teach them M$ propietory stuff, because "most of the world uses M$". Well, if I teach them what a icon is or how to use a mouse, they can use M$, Mac, Sun, Linux, *BSDs (although some of these may be limited in what they really can do) etc... Basically, if they know the concepts then it is easier to switch OSes, then if you teach them only how M$ does it. That is my rant:)
Strange. You use the "open standard" in a open source like context. And give M$ credit for being so "open" with their standard (Yet, this is clearly a Apple technology or M$ forgot to trademark it, so Apple was able to "steal" the trademark). Then you go on to slam "Red$at and $u$£" (as you put it) for charging for free stuff. Well, I ask you if M$ is so "open" and developed TrueType where can download the source on M$'s ftp site. Last I checked, although "Red$at and $u$£" charges for CDs, the complete source is freely available on their ftp servers! Wait...was that Gates posting?

My guess would be that SCO lives with Center7.

Any chance we will see a The Tick DVD? (Please say yes...)
Ahem, brother!!!
How about this...both sites are full of crap.
You are on the wrong site my friend. What did you expect? For all of slashdot to thank you for your enlighting words? Hey, why don't you go give your $$$$$$$ to billy gates and let him crap in a Windows 2000 box for you.

Once there is an X server out for OS X, which really shouldn't take long, you should be able to get X11 apps compiled for OS X as well.
There is MaX and I believe John carmack ported it too.
I totally agree, brother. Now, if there is one thing to complain about Utah, it is the Jazz and their fans.
then clarify...
Maybe by living in Utah you got use to it.
