The spent fuel is piling up at a rate of about 2,200 tons a year at U.S. power-plant sites. The industry and government decline to say how much waste is currently stored at individual plants. The U.S. nuclear industry had 69,720 tons of uranium waste as of May 2013, with 49,620 tons in pools and 20,100 in dry storage, according to the Nuclear Energy Institute industry group.
Spent nuclear fuel is about 95 percent uranium. About 1 percent is other heavy elements such as curium, americium and plutonium-239. Each has an extremely long half-life — some take hundreds of thousands of years to lose all of their radioactive potency.
The reason CDN wants China is money. So, if China wants to block that, it's their country. Painting "freedom" on a capitalistic venture is not fooling the Chinese government.

In my experience, anyone who fails to respond to a letter, won't respond to a letter signed by a lawyer. Unless the first letter was written in crayon on toilet paper.

Google, Google, Google, why is it always Google? Momma always did like Google, best.
A polite, inquisitive, probe by a lawyer, asking for simple clarification, goes a LONG way when the recipient knows damn well they don't want to be embarking on a journey that the recipient can't justify.
Yeah, because nuclear is real clean and stuff.

We will never get this resolved as long as we are still in high school.
In TFA there's a chart of targets. The US is not on it.
Anyway, this is actually great news because the US has been keen on accusing China and Russia of hacking the US.
This throws some cold WAteR on that, doesn't it?
You have not expressed any opinion or fact.
You just insult janitors and crap.

A lot of your complaints would disappear if you did as well.
Wrong.

No.
He has an objective and it doesn't include smashing anyone's big toe with a hammer.
It's a lot cheaper to have a lawyer compose an inquiry than it is to actually file a lawsuit.
... because every time he posts, it's the great American novel, about the page count of War and Peace, and I read one once.
ONCE!
Sure, his stuff is fucked up, but it's become an iconic meme and I love to see it appear.
Scanning through the comments is a pop-corn and Dr. Pepper moment and humor abounds nd I m greatly amused.
