It isn't the news magazines they care about. It is the competeing product to their official strategy guide. Imagine has published a competing product in it's Unofficial guide, but they didn't do any work, they just lifted artwork and the cover whole. They then also had a copyright disclaimer saying the whole contents of the Unofficial guide was copyright Imagine media.
Screenshots for news/reviews would be fair use. This obviously isn't either of those.

Ok, you don't like current industry supported rock, natch.
However, this says nothing about whether these people are real musicians or not. Another obvious example would be that I have seen few underground orchestras, and members of orchestras and are about as real as musicians get.
I mean there are penis jokes in it and a re-enactment of one of the saving private ryan battle scenes.

The teacher suggests breaking the law (even as a joke) and the kid is the only one to get in trouble.
Another hypothetical teacher says well maybe you should try robbing a bank. Kid does it. I would expect the teacher to be charged as an accomplice.
I expect though, the school district will hold to the line that the teacher was joking, and privately chew him out for drawing attention to the school in a bad manner.
Because 20 somethings play video games? People older than me play golf, which is just another game. My retired grandma plays bridge every day with her assisted living buddies.
Same activity, just different format. You need a bit more info to support the idea that 20 somethings are acting less like adults and more like teenagers.
Gahhh..
It was (For 1 player)
Up,up,down,down,left,right,left,right,b,a,start
(For 2 players)
Up,up,down,down,left,right,left,right,b,a,select,s tart
The select just made the game two players.
Just wanted to agree with your clarification of my idea and point out that I was being self-referential....OUR...minds:) I too thought that Akria was God's gift to animation, and maybe it was, but I am still not hyped about the DVD.
I agree heartily.
I think much of the attraction of Akira is that it was the first movie that turned a lot of the microculture on to anime years ago.
Great animation, bad story. It just simply blew away our poor little scooby-doo minds. I think a lot of people have latched on to the feeling they first had when they saw it. I can only think of it as someone who never saw a car other than a yugo, and when the first time they saw a honda how awesome that was because it was so much better than a yugo. Now, they know that mercedes exist but they still remember when they first saw a honda and think it's as good as the mercedes.
Quite possibly I'm over-pretentious and full of it, however I just do not think Akira compares to some of the anime we have now.
....but it said something along the lines of anything created on/with IBM time and resources. Now I'm not an R&D guy, they might have to sign over their brain upon death for all I know.
Hello, it's called picturesque speach. I am responsible for a 20 node sp as well as an 8 node sp. I was speaking strictly in dimensions for someone who has never seen them.
The nodes themselves are just regular tower sized rs/6000 (ok yes turned sideways) If they are wide nodes and in a standard sp frame, you can fight 8 stacked in a frame. Each fram is say 6 or so feet high and 4.5 feet square (approx.)
They have their own licensed guide that this one is competing with. Imagine stole the cover from the official one as well as other artwork inside.

"We have the most beautiful language" Well, French is indeed beautiful, but Gaelic is about 5 times more so, in my opinion. Especially when sung.

The creator of the game himself has said this.

no really....just curious.

Nah, that's only if you want two players. All the select does is move the little widget to the 2 player selection.
