Yes, storage would help, but it is STILL way too expensive. If nuclear power was not actively suppressed by the government and then hounded by environmental quacks with lawsuits we could build so much of them as to make carbon free power almost free in price as well.

Solar helps some too, but is much more efficient in desert areas. Only nuclear eliminates all problems with energy without cuisinarting or frying birds. I really hate pseudo-scientists with a long track record of wrong predictions telling me I have to give up basic rights to change weather that is supposed to be hotter to a colder setting. Particularly when we have record breaking cold in both hemispheres. -135.4 Fahrenheit this July at the south pole. Record breaking cold in Australia this July. The Great Lakes all froze solid this past winter and didn't thaw out until June.
Our stupid government could stop all off-shoring tomorrow by simply lowering corporate taxes to where we are not the highest corporate taxed country on earth. It would also increase corporate revenue into the national treasury. Of course that would fix the problem and politicos are not about fixing a problem. If they fix something you don't need them and that is the scariest thing on earth for a politician. No, they'll prolong and exacerbate the problem as much as possible.

When you say it let them know that reality is where real world data should be measured, not a computer program. Real world data (not the SIMS they programmed themselves) should register at some level regardless of their own brainwashing. Also, tell them that computer simulations are not reality. Reality is what should matter to real science.

I was not a chemistry major and yet I can do a tremendous amount of chemistry for someone who didn't have more than 6 hours of general chemistry. Its more like fun facts for free but there is no one out there that will pay me to know chemistry. If I needed more of it I could train myself.
But since an enormous amount of time is spent studying things that no one will pay you to know, the above should require some reflection. Why do we teach 12 years of something that they will never use? Who pays you to know the poetry of William Butler Yeats? Almost no one will pay you to know Astrophysics, astronomy, calculus, philosophy, etc. But you sure do pay through the nose to learn this almost useless info at any place you learn it.
Why couldn't high school students graduate knowing mechanics, construction, welding, HVAC, electronics, etc. ? Why do they graduate after 12 years knowing nothing that anyone will pay them to know?
Homeschoolers can enter college at 13 and graduate with a bachelors at the time most of their age group is getting out of high school. If that fact does not tell the powers that be that there is something massively wrong with government schools, well I don't know what would.
