Not positive, but pretty sure that any machine the iPhone has synced with has a copy of its key tho... so it's not really un-decryptable... It just puts more of the private citizen's property in-play for warrants and such. ("Your honor, we can't read the defendant's phone without his macbook")
I can't think of any way it would be able to sync with the device without being able to read the "disk."
