No, it's not like that at all. Cars that can go 250MPh (show me one) are irrelevant because there is no speed limit that high. Unless I've missed something, there is no speed limit on processors.

I'm a proud geek. Where I live in Saskatchewan, Canada, geek is a flattering term for someone who pursues knowledge with a passion. Even the "jocks" and "motor-heads" know this and use the term accordingly. Some people do try to use the term in a derogatory manner, but quickly realize that we take it as a compliment. I think it's the perfect replacement for hacker and gets the point across. i.e. computer hacker -> computer geek, hardware hacker -> hardware geek
