Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this mean that (for most cards) when you swipe your card, they ask you debit or credit and the only option will be debit now? From my experience if you purchase something via Debit you get charged the transaction fee as opposed to choosing the credit option on a debit card which makes the retailer pay that fee.
Is this the same thing? Similar? or very different?
