The most important betterness of version 12 over version 11 is the elimination of all possibilities of the man in the middle attack. Many reports of man in the middle attacks still happen so I doubt this advantage.
If have the concern of man in the middle attacking of your system, use MAILP3 or an SPF factor of at least 40.
