It's true that they are repeating (in part) the mistake of Caldera, the market now are mainly Linux developers, Linux enthusiasts, and Linux Administrators, that's the very first wave of Linux adoption in the market To this market, the move from UnitedLinux are wrong, and I'm pretty sure that they will not be popular among them.
But, the market now is changing, IBM, HP and Sun are injecting new customers to the Linux wave, and those customers are not "emotionally" tied to the Linux development, it's not "his baby" (at least how I feel it), for them Linux it's just a damm good tool, and for some of them the escape way to Microsoft domination, to this new customers UnitedLinux will be just another distro with more common business options, so for them will be a perfectly viable option.

In spain they do. they are called SGAE, and they collect royalties even from radio and TV sets on bars. And they want to do the same from melodies in cellular phones. Enric
Xbox is not in trouble. Look at how Microsoft has done in the past in similar situations. They are a monopoly. They will paciently await until they get the share they want. Will bring new and improved versions, and they will put as much money inside as needed, after all if they were able to spend $25 billions in buying Nintendo, this is a lot of money you can use to sell Xboxes at a loss.
Just await until Xbox 3.0 comes out, as you must know, nothing from Microsfot is really right until it arrives to the third version.
Maybe it's not monopolistic NOW!, but wait just a few years, they will do the same with WMP that already have done with IE. You will see messages like "WMP 9.x is needed to play those mp3, avi, etc...". WMP is the foundation for a future monopoly (or at least a strong holder) in the content and entertainment industries. The X-Box is just another way to hold the same market.
