Code headers are nice, but if code is properly written and structured they can be overkill and clutter, so I don't see them as mandatory in all cases. Otherwise, I like this :D. Divide your code into separate source files using logical divisions that make sense. Then create libraries if one of the divisions gets big enough. Try to emphasize reuse.

  2. Reusable on Ask Slashdot: What Makes Some Code Particularly Good? · · Score: 1

I think re-usability and properly formed and conceived libraries and classes if it's object oriented should be in there. I've seen plenty of people meet all 8 of those requirements, but have all their code in one giant file that really should be divided up into separate logical pieces that could be used again in other projects.

My problem isn't seeing ahead by quite a few moves. I, actually, am quite skilled at that, I can look well ahead of the current turn, figure out what the best possible strategy would be in my current situation, and do it fairly quickly. My issue is a bit different. It seems that the game itself is, actually, extremely boring, and when I start thinking about something more interesting - like porn, or popcorn - I manage to completely forget all those moves I foresaw so brilliantly, and make the absolute worst possible move I could have made instead. Then the game ends quicker, and I can go make some popcorn and watch porn. Which isn't so bad, really, in the end.

  13. Your friend could be lying. It's easy to blame other things for your failures. He could have quit when he realized, for example. I'm sorry, but pot isn't tremendously addictive, and even if it were people quit addictive things every day. The truth is that your friend didn't want to graduate. He should get his ged if he regrets it, and start doing what he has to to be more productive. My guess is that he doesn't want to, and if he couldn't blame pot he would blame something else. I think people should be free to do what they want if it doesn't hurt anyone. And I think that it's the people trying to steal our freedoms by publishing falsified or poorly executed scientific data that are the real problem.
