  1. HBA Leads the way? on Gillette Buys Half a Billion RFID Tags · · Score: 1

I think it is worth noting that the HBA (Health & Beauty Aids) industry seems to be the most cutting-edge when it comes to inventory tech in the retail market. I can't think of any other type of products in a grocery store that have 2D barcodes, and now they will be adding RFID to their cases and pallets? Amazing! One would think that things like this would find their way into high-end expensive products first, but fact is stranger than fiction...

  3. I'm all for it! on Is The Internet Destroying Spanish? · · Score: 1

Spanish is the silliest language there is. I mean why differentiate *everything* in the whole universe as either male or female? Every women's libber out there should be up in arms trying to ban this discriminating language. I doubt that the Internet is affecting spanish any more than any other language, but I sure wish it would.

So, if I write a piece of code, even on my own time, my company owns it. If I write a book on my own time, I own it. Why is that? This isn't really on topic, but since he is a Compaq employee, how much of a cut is the company getting? NONE! Why do we have to give up our code!?!?

This post was made on company time.

  6. Re:For the love of God! on The Rise Of The Chickclickers · · Score: 1
Why does this world have to be politically correct? Why does politeness require that we not use our brains? It makes people sound so stupid. Women have as much ability as men do, for everything. Are you sure about that? Last time I checked my ability to give birth to a child was severely hindered by a lack of hardware { or would it be software? ;-) } I like being idealistic, but I save it for when I'm reading a novel or watching a movie... The real world isn't quite that nice.

  7. I think I'm confused... on K7 vs. Pentium III benchmarks · · Score: 1

I thought that the P-III ran on a 100 Mhz bus. This test was done with a 133 Mhz bus... Hmm that would seem like an overclocked P-III isn't much better than a standard K-7. I would like to look on Intel's website to see if the 600 Mhz P-III will be run at that bus speed, but their site sucks so much ass, that it is hard to find info on P-II, let alone the P-III. If it is supposed to be on a 100 Mhz bus the test would only be fair if it was against 266 Mhz bus on the K-7.

P.S. I wonder if AMD will put fun little IDs in their chips like Intel.

There is nothing I hate more than someone who argues for something when they happen to be ill-informed, or unable to make a consistent arguement. It actually makes me feel sick to my stomach to have to listen to garbage that doesn't even agree with the garbage on a different page of the same site. Wait, there is something I hate more... Pity. I really hate feeling pity for really stupid people, but sometimes I can't help it.
