Is anyone else out there having trouble using GAIM with the MSN plugin? AOL and Yahoo seem to work fine but all I get is "read error" when try to sign on to my MSN account.
The altitude reading has always been the most inaccurate in my experience. Although, maybe it's just that you KNOW it's wrong when you're on a boat and it says you're 500 feet in the air, while when it tells you you've reached a buoy and it's 500 feet away it seems accurate enough since buoys drift and ideally you never hit one dead on.;)
I used to watch Starblazers and Force Five every day after school. I think Force Five aired primarily in New England. Anyone else watch it? And if you did, who thought Starvengers was the best of the 5?
I said: There is a finite ammount of what I am capable of expressing with English
Then you said: This is completly untrue. Well, Other then by the amount of time you can spend speaking in your lifetime, you are not limited. It may take longer to exspress somthing in english, then in say, chinese, but you can still do it.
What I meant was that I personally have a limit to what I can express. The set of what I can express is a subset of what is expressable in English since English is my only language and I do not have perfect comand of it (nor does anyone, probably).
As for the contention that programming languages limit what kinds of programs we write, I am sceptical, but not so dismissive. Certainly I hate writting code to do lots of complicated string handling in C, prefering perl or java for the job. However, by building my functions carefully I can do it in C, and in fact have. I would balk at doing the same kinds of programs in assembly language
But just like it is a lot easier to do string handling in Java than it is in assembly, certain ideas are easier to express in certain languages. So won't that effect the way people think? Maybe an API analogy would be better. Basically when I talk to you I want your brain to think something. I accomplish that via speaking English. There is a finite ammount of what I am capable of expressing with English just like there is a finite amount of what you can do with an API. Some things may be possible but too difficult to be worth doing so you compromise.
So that I can actually make more sense on this topic, can you recomend some good books to read on the subject of linguistics?
I still have not been able to get it to run on NT since last spring. It crashes upon start. I even followed the recomendation in the Release notes for this problem but without any luck.
There is also a third possibility, which I think is pretty likely -- the extra content being put together for the DVD will take quite some time to get together and polish, and maybe he's planning on doing something special with it, which will take extra time.
It's also possible that some of the extra content that he wants to put in would end up being spoilers for the rest of the prequels. He may want to put in a running comentary that said things like: "Here we see charachter X who is a very minor character now, but you can see that his actions foreshadow his importance in Episode 3."
They've been great for the past 2 years. The only downside to SFNB is that they have no local ATM's (unless you live in Atlanta) so if you'd like to avoid an ATM fee you have to find a local credit union ATM that doesn't charge fees.
If you live in S.F., the Bank of Canton ATM on Montgomery Street does not charge a thing.
She had both hands operated on and they've been fine for over 15 years. She never did any hardcore typing after that so I don't know if surgery prevents you from "getting" CTS a second time.
My mother was a secratary/typist for years, and eventually (after not typing for a few years), her wrists started hurting so much that she couldn't sleep at night. Nothing seemed to help so she opted for surgury, which at the time had the risk of, if the doctor screwed up, causing a complete loss of hand motion. Not something you'd want even if you don't type.
So do people still have surgury for CTS? And have the risks gone down?
Doh! I forgot to add @hotmail.com part to my username. Thanks for the help, and sorry for the waste of a post. (and yes it's pre7)

Any chance you'll get to name any new Pink Floyd albums in the future? Any names come to mind? Play with them lately?
(For those who don't know, Douglas Adams came up with name of the last PF album and played with them on his birthday).

And will there be any problem with the name Dynamo since it is already the name of an app server by ATG?
