    I think something most people don't realize is that by using the GPU to render, you are actually taking load OFF of the CPU, not adding to it. Bravo to Microsoft for this.

    Now all we have to do, is pray they don't leave some loop hole open that lets someone burn your video card. Can you imagine, built in Windows overclocking?

    Maximum sentence for rape is variable from state to state, whether it's a federal issue, and whether it's aggrivated or not. Aggrivated rape carries a maximum of life in prison, otherwise, it's 20 years max.

    State rape statutes here.

    Is it just me, or does a possible 15 years in prison seem a bit harsh for a pirate? I know, I know, he cause who knows how much damage in money but he didn't rape someone. Hell, people who rape get less time in prison.

    This is just a scare conviction, an example to those who pirate. Beware! ...Or you'll sit next to Bubba, the convicted butt pirate.

    No.

    Does it work on anything besides windows?

    Look at the name of the program. What do you think?

    How is this program different from the 100 other free paint programs for windows?

    Try it your self.

    Why is this on slashdot and why are they saying this is the anti-gimp?

    What, are you upset because slashdot isn't strict pro-linux?

    Insightful? Sounds like flamebait to me. What do I know?

    You are mistaken. I am Dominican, and this is just flat out wrong. Of course it can mean to have a sexual relation with someone, just like when I say I'm going to "pick up" a woman on 71 in Miami. It's used the same way in English as in Spanish.

    Good lord this drives me crazy.

    "No va" means nothing in spanish, it isn't even a phrase. It's sometimes what the low class/sluring spanish say, since they do not say their "s" sounds.

    "No vas" means "don't go" literally.

    "No te vas" means "don't you go"

    You are correct, data files can't run commands. That is not what the code does though. Read the article and you'll see:

    cbSkip = _bmfh.bfOffBits - cbRead;

    if (cbSkip > 1024)
    cbSkip = 1024;

    if (!Read(abDummy, cbSkip))
    goto Cleanup;

    The code parses the image data to a command that executes code. No hoax.
