i just felt i had to mention that bladerunner was based on 'do androids dream of electric sheep', written by philip k. dick.. (i realize that this may be common knowledge, and am only doing this to quiet the nagging voice in the back of my head.)
philip k. dick wrote a number of futuristic books (granted, they all get kind of weird about halfway through) but certain ideas for the technology are interesting. maybe later, when i can remember some of them, i will babble more.
