After running my computer for 2 hours in my 85 degree room, my computer would constantly lock-up. In a moment of anger, I pulled off the case and took my 18 inch window fan and ran it facing the motherboard. The computer works fine now and never locks up. It certainly isn't a pretty solution, but it does show that heat is a serious problem for PCs, and may worsen in the future with everfaster CPU and bus clock speeds.
Will RAM speed and peripheral data transfer speed ever equal CPU clock speed? Talk about heat!
