Note Microsoft has used BSD'd software in the past... strings ftp.exe from NT4 or W2K (cant remember which) you'll find a BSD (C) statement in there somewhere
Not to mention they do outsource a ton of stuff... when they have a hardware failure in a store they don't send a Wal-Mart I.T. person to fix it, they have a contract with a large Outsource company that inturn outsources said work to a local support company. (Am I sure about this? yes i worked for one of the local companies)
Sure you can kill the Capslock for PC based stuff, but there's still a ton of legacy apps that require cap's lock... there are even apps out there that require you to actually know the commands are no help available at all.
