Flaimbait? I'll bite, I don't think it is. Capitalism allows for you to ignore the methods by which a product comes to market. This is inherently what money does. So long as a currency exists (so long as we are human?) there will be this possibility to ignore the means by which products are brought to market. It is the consumers decission, therefore, to ignore these means, and to not care. The problem lies with the consumers in this respect, not with the system. If the consumers asked the right questions and refused to purchase the products without the right answers, then the destruction of rain forests would stop. If, in reality, the consumers didn't care about the rain forests, well they'll keep buying the product.
We are all computer geeks. Does anyone remember that the Patriot Act allowed the DoJ to begin demanding information from libraries covertly in order to determine who is trying to find information related to terrorism (or whatever else the DoJ pleases, there is no check on this)? Okay, so the DoJ has redirected the DNS for this website ISOnews ya? Effectively, they can now recognize and potentially track people who visit this site. It's an evidence gathering tactic, just like the library. It looks to me that the DoJ continues to carry out actions then tend to restrict the free flow of information. Sadness!
Let's face it folks. 120 years is limited time. The fact that the time is limited by the maximum value of 120 indicates that it is limited. The definition of limited time as prescribed for in the constitution is therefore met. The word limited was not sufficiently defined and stands to be interpreted, by such folk as your dutifully elected congress-people.
I could have sworn the insurance company is ecstatic when they find out I've gone five miles over the speed limit. (grrr). Nobody cares?
Damnit, my pocket book cares, thank you very much, I like keeping my money to myself and giving it up to someone else when they deserve to have the money if I have wronged them somehow.
Sure, it's easy to recognize a PCMCIA access device, but who here can easily recognize these devices when integreated into the computer. Sure, educate the flight attendant is one suggestion, but I don't think they should have to either a) learn all OSs in order to tell whether or not UWB software/drivers are installed and in use; or, b) partially dissasemble and recognized and UWB device by appearance. But, of course, as other people have been pointing out, UWB may start being in a variety of devices. What does this mean, no high-technology electronics on board at all?
Uhhh if memory serves me right, oscilloscopes need to be calibrated from time to time (That is "serviced").
